CALIBRATION GAS

WHAT IS CALIBRATION?

Calibration is the activity of determining and establishing the relationship between a measurement standard and a measuring instrument. To evaluate errors and its other technical and measurement characteristics. Calibration is not mandatory. Based on the calibration results, customers decide whether to use the device again or not.

For example: 500 ppm CO/ Balance N2

SO WHAT IS A CALIBRATION GAS?

A calibration gas is a gas mixture or reference gas used as a comparison standard in the calibration of analytical instruments, such as gas analyzers or gas detectors.

The volumetric mixture is created using a pressure gauge to determine how much of each ingredient has been added. The accuracy of the mixture is largely determined by the accuracy of the pressure gauge.

STANDARDS OF CALIBRATION GAS

Calibration is the activity of determining and establishing the relationship between  a measurement standard  and a measuring instrument. To evaluate errors and its other technical and measurement characteristics. Calibration  is not mandatory. Based on the calibration results, customers decide whether to use the device again or not.

WHAT IS CALIBRATION GAS APPLICATION?

Any measuring device needs to be recalibrated after a period of time. Due to many reasons such as: Changes in components, changes in the usage environment, contamination from the measurement environment… Particularly for gas meters and gas analysis instruments, calibration is even more necessary than for most sensors. The transformer operates according to electrochemical principles, the chemical composition will change after each measurement, or change itself due to natural chemical reactions.

  • Serving in the fields of oil and gas, oil refining, and chemicals; environmental monitoring, research, air separation plants, power plants, high voltage transformer stations; import and export inspection; Automobile research and development organizations, auto factories, auto engine development, auto exhaust testing (testing centers),…

  • Calibrate gas analyzers, gas meters or calibrate fixed gas probes.
  • Calibration for gas and cylinder meters in the marine, hygiene and health sectors

Commonly used gases for automatic monitoring systems and gas analyzers:
