When referring to deep diving activities, people often think of using air tanks on the back of divers. Depending on the depth of the diving route, mixing Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium or Hydrogen gas in the oxygen tank will be done in appropriate proportions.

Types of diving gases that VSG Gas is producing and supplying on the market include: Air, Nitrox (Nitrogen + Oxygen), Heliox (Helium + Oxygen) and Trimix (Oxygen + Nitrogen + Helium).

COMPRESSED AIR

Diving gas – Compressed air contains: 78.1% N2 + 20.8% 02 + 0.9% AI + 0.2% other gases

• This is a popular diving gas that allows divers to depths < 40m.

NITROX

Diving gas – Nitrox contains: 02 + N2 (For example: Ratio 32%-40% 02 in N2).

• NITROX is suitable for rolling at depths > 50m with longer diving times than conventional diving.

HELIOX

Diving gas – Heliox contains ingredients: Helium + 02 (For example: 20.9% 02 ratio in Helium).

• HELIOX is used for diving at depths > 50m (similar to NITROX

In particular: HELIOX’s advantage over NITROX is to avoid Nitrogen intoxication (Nitrogen narcosis).

TRIMIX

Diving gas – Trimix contains the composition 02 + N2 + Helium (For example, Ratio 10% 02 + 70% He + 20% N2, …).

• TRIMIX is used for diving at depths > 50m with longer diving times than conventional diving.
